We left CA today. It was wonderful getting to spend time with my family. Susana did not do well on the car ride this time. I had to stop 4 times to help her. I think most of it was she wanted attention so when we got to Primm we got out and went shopping at the outlet mall for awhile.
Susana has traveled so well and slept great even though we aren't home. I hope she can keep this up in the future! Today was our last full day in CA. Cash accidentally tripped on Susana today when I had her laying on a blanket on the floor. She definitely has a different cry when she is hurt.
Its nice being with my family and having Susana with me. Its also fun seeing my brother interact with another one of my daughters. I don't have any great pictures but I love that he'll come and just pick her up, smile at her and help her be happy.
Raiden might have been hesitant yesterday but he had asked several times today to hold Susana. Raiden also insists that I can have 25 babies but Catrina can have 0.
Today we went to the wild animal park. Susana did great and I managed to keep her covered enough to not get sunburned. The butterflies were back on exhibit. I had about 4 land on my skirt. I had kind of hopped one would land on Susana when Mom was waiting to take a picture but that didn't happen.
Susana got to meet her Grandpa, Uncle George, Aunt Catrina, and cousins Raiden and Cash today. Cash at first wouldn't look at her and ran and hid. George and I coaxed Raiden into holding her. Grandpa was a natural.
11 weeks old. Today Susana got to go all over Henderson and Vegas. We went to India palace for lunch with Amanda and Presley. Presley loved the car seat she even sat inside it and rocked when Susana wasn't in it.
Susana slept really well last night even after sleeping so long in the car. Today everyone here in Henderson is loving on her. She is continuing to spit up more than she used to. I don't know why. Maybe because I'm drinking more soda? I have no clue.
I love that often when Susana sleeps she will cross her little ankles like in the picture. We finished our drive to NV today. Before we left Utah we got to play with the Smith's. So fun for everyone. Right before we got to Justin's house Ariana mentioned at the end of the tinker bell movie they had just watched for the 4'th time, that it didn't mater how many times she saw the movie 'every time they think Fawn is dead tears well up in my eyes.' (nice vocabulary Nana!) I mentioned that there are some songs that do that to me like Sunrise, sunset from fiddler on the roof. Alexis asked if we could listen to it. Sure enough it pulls at my heart strings then to have Ariana ask, 'Mom how does this make you cry?' I hadn't thought about that from her perspective. As a Mom watching her children grow in the blink of an eye or in what seams just a sunrise to a sunset always tears me up. My babies are growing so fast and I can picture the day that I'm standing at their weddings and asking 'is this the little girl I carried?' Yes truly 'sunrise, sunset, swiftly fly the years' and also so true 'laden with happiness and tears.' It is still hard to drop Alexis, Ariana, and James off for a week. There were more tears tonight dropping off than usual. Both James and Ariana were upset. James I've come to expect a little because its mainly over having to leave his toys in the car. Ariana surprised me. She normally cries when I pick her up because we are leaving but not normally when I drop her off. Tonight she was crying like how she does for Justin. Yes these sunrises and sunsets are laden with happiness and tears. I'm profoundly grateful that currently there is more happiness than tears.
Today was the last day of school before spring break. Ariana's class had a baby shower for her teacher Mrs. Sullivan because it was her last day before maternity leave. We loaded up the car after school and drove to Utah. Everyone did really well on the drive. So far Susana has been an awesome traveler.
We visited Sunnyside's night at the museum tonight. Its crazy how elaborate a lot of the displays were. Not looking forward to this next year when we have to come up with the display. Susana came and slept through half of it in my arms. Noise really doesn't bother her, thank goodness because quiet doesn't happen unless everyone is asleep.
She is getting so big! Little chunky cheeks, rolls in her legs and all her tiny clothes are too small. I love the big bow on her head today.
I wish I had gotten a picture of little princess in her fluffy dress today. She looked adorable. Of course in her jammies modeling a hair bow she is cute too.
My happy little duckie! She is starting to have longer and longer wake times. Today I laid her in James' crib while I was putting away his laundry. She loved the air plane mobile. She also was a good sport getting dragged around to Leo's place and shopping today.
This little one sleeps a lot in my bed and really likes to sleep on her tummy. It makes me nervous and I check on her several times at night to see if she's ok. What you can't see in this picture is her little legs are tucked up and her ankles crossed. So cute!
I think Susana giggled tonight for the first time while we were on the phone with Daddy on his way to work. I forgot to mention this but about two days ago Susana discovered her hands. She loves to ball them into fists, stare at them and then suck on them or her arm. I've never had a baby that preferred their whole fist to suck on.
Everyone is still enchanted with this little girl including her brother. He is still very protective of her and doesn't like other people to touch her.
This is Susana's 'I haven't pooped for three days and my tummy hurts' face. I'm scared of the eminent blow out.
Funny picture is James colored all over his legs today and told me 'the snails did it' (he has been watching turbo the racing snail)
No school today means sleeping in for everyone, happy nine weeks! Grandpa went home today. He loved holding Susana while he was here. Today was so nice we went to the park with friends. It was Susana's first trip to the park.
Susana Abigayle Tucker was blessed today by her daddy. We had lots of family come for the blessing. Besides the fact church was at nine and it was daylight savings time it was a beautiful morning. The weather today was fantastic all day. Alexis did a wonderful job playing the organ prelude music. After sacrament meeting everyone met back at our house for lunch and to visit. Susana did great all day too. She didn't cry during the blessing or poop on the white dress. She was a pretty happy little girl all day.
Sleep is today's theme. This little one just slept and slept today. She slept all morning, through Ariana's birthday party at Leo's Place, through shopping, through most of dinner until she exploded. She had a couple grumpy hours between 10-midnight but thank heavens went back to sleep because I an exhausted and its day light saving time, church is at 9 but we HAVE to be there by 8:45 because Alexis is playing prelude on the organ and Susana is being blessed.
Beautiful day today! We went for a walk today James helped push the stroller. Family started getting into town today for Susana's blessing Sunday.
Two months old! This sweetheart has completely captured all of our hearts including her little brothers. This morning James and I sat on the bed together and counted her fingers and giggled at the milk bubbles she kept blowing. Susana coos back to people when they talk to her and breaks out in huge smiles all the time. She is super snugly and loves to be held. You know she us hungry when she starts slobbering all over you or she is crying and making little snorting noises (so cute and funny). She sleeps really well as long as it is with Mommy. She will sleep in until almost ten too bad Mommy has to get up before then. We love her beyond words.
She is so soft and squishy! She loves when people talk to her. Today she was Mommy's shopping buddy for Ariana's birthday present. Ariana is 9 and tomorrow Susana is two months. Wow!
