Happy New Year!
This year for New Years the kids and I were in Utah. We celebrated when the ball first dropped in New York at 10pm Utah time. The kids had a great time making party crowns, eating doughnuts and yelling HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Some people have issues with new years resolutions. I don't but this year I am keeping mine really simple. I am focusing on making 2012 a time for healing and forgiveness. I really enjoyed a quote given in church on new years:
The past is behind us...Learn from it.
The future is ahead of us...Prepare for it.
The present is here... Live in it.
I may not have quoted it exactly right but its close and I think it goes a long with what I want to achieve this year.

Surprise Early Birthday
I have the best sister-in-law, cousin and friends ever and oh they all got me so good this year! I turn 30 next Saturday and to celebrate my sister-in-law Catrina wanted to take me out to lunch before she went out of town. Things have been a little crazy and I had some important appointments pop up for the day we had planned our lunch that I really needed to go to and she knew it so I was getting a little annoyed that she was so adamant that we had to do lunch that day and time. Well I was very shocked, surprised and embarrassed when I walked into the restaurant almost 30 minutes late because of my dentist appointment to this lovely group of ladies singing at the top of their lounges Happy Birthday. To make it even sweeter they even got me a gift for a spa day. I've never ever had a spa day. The surprise lunch would have been more than enough. All day long after that I received calls and messages from friends that couldn't make it saying happy early birthday. Thanks guys I feel very loved!
